The issue of scientific ethics, taking into account Ukraine's desire to integrate into the European and world educational and scientific domain, is appropriate and always relevant in any context. Accordingly, one of the important elements of the education quality assurance system is compliance with the principles of academic integrity [1. p. 218].

Violations of academic integrity include: academic plagiarism (publishing someone's research results as one's own or text without attribution); self-plagiarism (publishing one's own previously published research results as new); fabrication (inventing data or facts); falsification (known change or modification of existing data related to the educational process or research); cheating; deception; bribery. Today, the quality of training of professional staff is a crucial factor in the innovative development of any state and a guarantor of its economic and technological security [3, p. 278].

Academic integrity is the way that can change this world. However, in order to bring about global changes in the educational and scientific space, one should always start with oneself first. Academic integrity begins with the virtuous behavior of everyone: cadets (students), teachers, deans, university administrators, etc. However, according to current research and our observations, not all participants in the educational process are familiar with the concept of academic integrity.

Many educators believe that academic integrity is only for the scientific community however, this is not the case.

That is why deepening and expanding knowledge on the problems of compliance with the principles of academic integrity and implementing the acquired knowledge in practice is a very relevant and important task for the modern educational and scientific space [7. p. 602].

All participants in the educational and scientific space should be aware of the essence of academic integrity, which is a set of ethical principles and rules established by law that should guide participants in the educational process during learning, teaching and conducting scientific and creative activities in order to ensure confidence in learning outcomes and scientific achievements [6. p. 83].

Plagiarism, cheating, and misappropriation of other people's achievements are unacceptable and in no way tolerated in society. "Academic integrity" at all levels of higher education, in any field of knowledge, speciality and specialisation is necessary and urgent.

It is the introduction of the discipline "Academic Integrity" that will be useful for future specialists in the formation of a system of theoretical knowledge and applied skills on the main aspects of academic integrity and the organisation of scientific research and the acquisition of basic competencies in conducting educational and scientific activities by the applicant [2. p. 15].

"Academic Integrity" will contribute to the creation of an educational and scientific environment that allows the transmission of cultural values, training specialists, not trained employees. The prestige of a university, its authority in the educational environment is not based on quantitative indicators, as in other areas,

The work should be systematic at the level of the country as a whole. At the same time, it is necessary to identify and eliminate the causes and factors that contribute to the increase in the number of cases of academic fraud. It is necessary to realize that the development of education and science is impossible without adherence to the principles and standards of academic integrity, which is an indicator of the development of an innovative society. Academic integrity is the spiritual foundation of academic culture. That is why explaining the basic principles of academic integrity to students, teachers and researchers in the process of teaching, education and research is one of the most important tasks.
